Chief minister Vasundhara Raje started her two-day tour of Dungarpur from Monday. Raje met the members of the saint community earlier during the day and thereafter conducted Jansamwad of Dungarpur Assembly area. Raje inaugurated the ‘Annapurna Milk Scheme’ for the children of aangawadi by offering milk to the children with her hands.

She first reached the Shrinath Temple at Gep Sagar Lake and offered prayers to Shrinathji. There she was blessed by the saints who were present there on which she replied in Gujarati language “Mare upar puro ashirwad rakju” and the entire saint community which were about 50 in number present there blessed her and chanted, “Vijay bhav”. 

Raje on the occasion also complimented the people for cleanliness in Dungarpur.

During her visit, UDH minister Srichand Kriplani and Rajya Sabha MP Harshvardhan Singh apart from other leaders including minister of state for PHED Sushil Katara were present. MP Harshvardhan was present with her during her visits at other places in Dungarpur.

Raje went to Gep Sagar Lake and saw the beautification works which are going on there. She ordered UIR chairman KK Gupta to ensure that there was no dirt in the lake.

Raje, thereafter visited the statue of Maharana Pratap on Hospital Road and offered flowers there. On this occasion, the members of Rajput community also welcomed her.

Later during the day, the CM conducted public interaction (jansamwad) with prominent citizens and said that the government had not differentiated anybody on the basis of caste, religion or party and took everybody along for the development of the state. 

In the backdrop the song, “Aao phir saath chalein” was playing. It is worth mentioning here that this song was the theme song of the party in the last Assembly elections.

Schemes inaugurated, jansamwad held

  • CM also inaugurated a scheme similar to Annpurna Milk Scheme for the children of Aanganbadis. About 27,000 children of the Aanganbadis of the area will benefit from this scheme. 
  • Raje informed people during jansamwad about the developmental works which were done in the area in the last 4.5 years of her government. She said in 166 gram panchayats of Dungarpur, gramin gaurav path have been completed.
