CM Vasundhara Raje counters Rahul Gandhi on women representation in politics

Two days back in Sikar, the Congress president had said he wish to see half of his party’s women become chief ministers and spoke about increased women representation in Congress.

In which Congress-ruled state has there been a woman chief minister? asked CM Vasundhara Raje as she countered Rahul Gandhi over his statement on women’s participation in Congress. While addressing women through audio bridge on the occasion of Karva Chauth on Saturday, Raje said that making false claims and shallow promises is something Congress party knows best and their leaders are shameless enough to ask for votes by peddling lies. 

Two days back in Sikar, the Congress president had said he wish to see half of his party’s women become chief ministers and spoke about increased women representation in Congress.

Raje added that limits of corruption and atrocities against women were at its peak during Congress’  tenure and now when in last 4 years things have improved, they say women were not safe in Rajasthan.

The CM also informed the women about various schemes that the state government introduced for their welfare across age groups and talked about the law that gives death penalty to those convicted of raping minors.

‘Corruption At Peak During Cong Rule’

While addressing women through audio bridge on the occasion of Karva Chauth on Saturday, Raje said that making false claims and shallow promises is something Congress party knows best and their leaders are shameless enough to ask for votes by peddling lies. Raje added that limits of corruption and atrocities against women were at its peak during Congress’ tenure.
