It needed Chief Secretary NC Goel’s intervention for issuance of the mandatory Fire NOC for the IPL match to be held today at SMS stadium. The organisers and the host team Rajasthan Royals (RR) were not able to convince Jaipur Municipal Corporation, which issues NOC, about their safety preparations.

Goel chaired a meeting in which management of RR, JMC Mayor Ashok Lahoti and District Collector Siddharth Mahajan reached a consensus for issuing the NOC. According to the agreement, JMC will issue provisional Fire NOC on per match basis. That means, RR will have to approach JMC before every match to be held for the Fire NOC.  

To avert any untoward situation at a fee of Rs 1000 per fireman. It will be mandatory for RR management to ensure that every participant of IPL takes oath on sanitation. The expenditure for collection to disposal of wastes should also be borne by the RR management. Apart from that, the proposal of appointing Rajasthan Royals to be the ambassador of state government and JMC for a year without any fee was cleared in the meeting.
