Cartier ‘Travel With Style’ now comes to Jaipur

The sixth edition of Cartier ‘Travel with Style’ Concours d’Elegance event is scheduled to take place in Jaipur on February 24. The event will be hosted at the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, sources said. This edition will, like its predecessors, feature classic automobiles and motorcycles with participants drawn from across the country.

Cartier hosted the first ever international Concours d’Elegance – titled Cartier ‘Travel with Style’ in India at the Royal Western India Turf Club Mumbai in 2008. The next three editions were hosted in Delhi and Mumbai. 

In 2017, The event travelled to the city of Nawabs, Hyderabad and Princess Esra played the host then. It now comes to Rajasthan, the land of maharajas, bringing the capital city, Jaipur, into international focus. 

Since the inception of Cartier ‘Travel with Style’, over the past 10 years, has classic car collection has seen a paradigm shift in India in the historical context of automobiles. World renowned shows like Pebble Beach Concours, USA and Salon Retro Mobile, France have been featured category for cars originally sold to Indian owner, more specifically the erstwhile rulers. 

All participating cars have been shown at various Cartier ‘Travel with Style’ over the years, with many winning awards, said, curator, Manvendra Singh Barwani who also serves as a Judge at the Pebble Beach Concours.

The growing interest in the event in India has led to a demand for participation in this prestigious and internationally recognized event. The growth of the Concours has also lead to the increase in vehicle restoration standards.

Vehicles restored in India can now easily match exacting international standards.
