Many students are adopting the path of agitation for their demand to extend the date of school lecturer recruitment examinations, which is dated to be held this month. The students continued to hold a dharna at the Rajasthan University main gate on Friday. All the girls and boys spend the night in open in this winter season. Candidates have announced to stage agitation at all the district headquarters of the state on Saturday.
Students had started their dharna on Thursday morning demanding change in the date of the school lecturer examination. Students spent the night in tents on Thursday night and on Friday night too, they were seen sitting under the tents. On Thursday, they had performed agitation by closing the main gate of the University of Rajasthan. The main demand of the students is to extend the date of the proposed school lecturer recruitment examination in January.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission issued notification for the school lecturer recruitment examination on November 26. This examination will be conducted from January 15 to 23 by the RPSC on which the candidates have an objection. Ram Singh Samota, a research student representative from Rajasthan University, told that RAS (mains) examinations are scheduled on January 28 and 29. In this case, two important examinations are going on in January and students are facing problems. About seven lakh students have applied for 5 thousand posts of school lecturer recruitment examination. It is a matter related to lakh of students. Therefore, the government should extend the date of examination in the interest of the students.
