Chief minister Vasundhara Raje was relentless in pulling up officials who were found slacking at work. Even on the second day of her Banswara tour, she came out hard on those responsible for poor administration and irregularities of various sorts.

During the Jansamwad on Tuesday in Bagidora assembly area, many complaints were addressed to the chief minister. Hearing grievances regarding pending payment, poor situation of road and encroachment related issues, Raje acted promptly and ordered three senior IAS officers, principal secretary of energy Sanjay Malhotra, principal secretary of education Naresh Pal Gangwar and principal secretary of rural development Rajeshwar Singh to sit with the concerned officials and solve the issues.

When a complaint was made by people against the public representative over irregularities in the funds sanctioned for a school and taking a whimsical decision on changing alignment of a bridge, CM Raje took immediate cognizance and ordered the officials of PWD to go on spot and give report on the changed alignment. She also ordered completion of inquiry in all the complaints and said that law will take its own course irrespective of who the accused is.

In another case addressed during Jansamwad, when many locals complained about wrongdoings in many gram panchayats in the NREGA works, she immediately sought reply from the district collector. He assured her that the matter has been looked into and now the money from the accused sarpanch and employees will be recovered. The district collector also informed the chief minister that FIR will also be lodged against the accused.

Moreover, on hearing a complaint against a Gram Sachiv for not making payment even after completion of construction of toilet under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Raje ordered principal secretary of panchayati raj department and police superintendent to take action.

CM Raje is on a four-day tour of Banwara.
