Victory of the ruling BJP in the Assembly elections will depend on the Panna Pramukhs (page in charge of the voters’ list) of the party. Panna Pramukhs will bring voters to the polling station who will vote in favour of BJP so that maximum votes are polled. For this, BJP has fielded about 15 lakh Panna and Ardh Panna Pramukhs in the electoral field. These 15 lakh BJP workers are preparing the path of the party’s victory and have also conducted survey of the party’s vote bank so that the BJP would know how many votes it will get at polling booth level and where it needs to strengthen the situation.

“On polling day, December 7, our agent will be inside the polling booths. We will be in constant contact with the polling agent who will inform us how many voters have not cast votes in the booth area so far. We will go to that voter’s house and motivate them to cast votes. On December 6, a day before voting, we will go to the voters’ house in every polling booth and appeal them to vote in favour of the BJP,” said  Anand Sharma, Panna Pramukh of polling booth no. 91 of Ward 57 of Malviya Nagar Assembly area.

BJP had earlier appointed more than 7 lakh Panna Praumkhs across the state and now the plan has expanded and BJP has also appointed Ardh Panna Pramukhs (Incharge of one side of a page of the voters’ list ).

Now two workers have been appointed for one page of the voters list. These 15 lakh workers are constantly contacting the voters of their allotted area. In the last one week, Panna and Ardh Panna Parumkhs have contacted the voters’ home four to five times. They have contacted the voters through party’s Kamal Diya Abhiyan, Parivar  Sampark Abhiyan, Karyakarta Parivar Sneh Milan Samaroh and Labharthi Samapark Abhiyan. The Panna Pramukh is the in-charge of one page of the voter list. While the Ardh Panna Parmukh has been made the in charge of one side of one page of the voters list. BJP has given the responsibilities of the Panna Pramukhs to the workers of the RSS and its frontal organisations and office bearers of the Residents Societies and Social Organisations and NGOs.

“I have contacted every voter about five times in my polling booth area by going to their homes. We are also asking the voters about their problems and have penned down voters complaints so that the problem can be settled later on,”  Sunil Mahato a BJP Panna Praumkh of polling booth number 198 of ward 31 in Civil Lines Assembly constituency of Jaipur told DNA.

BJP Booth Strategy

There are 4 crores, 76 lakh 72 thousand 861 voters registered in the state.  There are sixty voters registered in both sides of one page of the voters list. BJP had earlier appointed a Panna Pramukh for each page and an Ardh Panna Pramukh under a Panna Pramukh. Ardh Panna Pramukh has been given the responsibility of 30 voters. Apart from this, a Vistaraks has been deployed at all the 200 Assembly constituencies and polling booths across the state.
