Assembly Elections 2018: 33 BJP leaders set to check counting in Rajasthan

The result of the state Assembly elections will be declared on Tuesday and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has full confidence that the result of the election will be in its favour. For counting votes the BJP has deployed its 33 senior leaders in various districts and has made 33 senior leaders counting in-charge in its 41 organisational districts. The in-charge leaders reached their allotted districts on Monday and held meetings with the party workers.

BJP state president Madan Lal Saini on Monday remained in the BJP headquarters in Jaipur all day and took meeting of party office bearers and discussed the party’s strategy for counting of votes. On the other hand, Union minister and state election management committee convener Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, former state president Ashok Parnami, national vice-president Om Prakash Mathur and other senior leaders are approaching Independent candidates, who might win. 

According to sources, the BJP is expected to get 95 to 105 seats on the basis of its internal survey and that is why the party has made all preparations to form the government in the state. In the absence of majority figure, the BJP can collaborate with the Independents and other parties. 

Saini claimed once again on Monday that the BJP will form the government with full majority in the state. Speaking to media persons, Saini said, “We will win on the strength of the party workers. The election results will be declared on Tuesday and the Opposition parties will get the message of the voters.” 

“We have appointed senior leaders as counting in-charge in every district for the counting of votes and they will keep tab on the counting of votes,” said Saini.

On the other hand, BJP’s counting in-charge leaders reached the allotted districts on Monday. The in-charge leaders took the meeting of the party’s polling agents and gave them information about the rules of counting. The BJP has also instructed all the polling agents to reach the counting spot two hours before the counting of votes begins.
