Senior IAS officer and additional chief secretary Nihal Chand Goel has been admitted to the SMS Hospital for treatment of dengue.

“He has been diagnosed with dengue fever and is recovering,” Unit Head (Medicine) Dr Sudhir Bhandari told DNA.“ Goel had come down with fever and was admitted to unit 6 in the hospital a couple of days ago, later it was confirmed that he was suffering from dengue. He has been kept in cottage ward. He will be discharged in a couple of days soon after the medical treatment course for the disease is completed,” said Dr Bhandari.
