In a major decision, the cabinet decided to announce 1.8 lakh vacancies by July this year in 108 types of posts across various departments and categories, starting from March. Parliamentary Affairs minister Rajendra Rathore said that the decision was taken in the cabinet meeting presided over by chief minister Vasundhara Raje.

He said that 21,000 posts of sweepers and others will be filled up through local bodies. “Candidate will not have to give their detail separately for each examination. The department of IT has come up with an arrangement where they would have to do one-time registration,” he said.

The cabinet also approved 5% reservation for ex-servicemen in state civil services while 12.5 quota in subordinate and secretarial services and 15% reservation in fourth grade will remain as it is.The cabinet cleared Rs 2000 crore investment proposal of Shri Vallabh Pittie Group, which is planning to set up a manufacturing plant at Aklera in Jhalawar. It will also generate more than 2000 crore job opportunities in the region. The cabinet has approved an interest subsidy at the rate of 9% on the loan amount for 5 years since the date of commercial production and 100 per cent exemption on stamp duty. 

The company will also get an employment generation grant of Rs 5 crore on investment of more than Rs 750 crore. Apart from that, the cabinet has also approved 100 per cent exemption on stamp duty and conversion charges on Rs 175 crore agro processing coming up at Mahiyawali in Sri Ganganagar. 

The Guar-gum and powder plant will generate 400 jobs in the region. The cabinet also approved allotment of 12 ha land for Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership at Knowledge City, Jaipur where the institution will invest Rs 220 crore for imparting free training to 65,000 government teachers and block level and above officers of education department.

It also announced to provide benefits of Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) on the basis of State GST. The cabinet also approved Rajasthan Transgender Welfare Board to look into the problems of transgenders. 

The cabinet also decided to start fourth round of Nyay Apke Dwar campaign from May 1 to resolve revenue matters. The cabinet also decided to release 2 lakh electricity connections for agriculture which will be rolled out from April, 2018. 

Apart from that, several other decisions were also taken which included naming the medical college in Bhilwara after Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia and naming the state airstrip in Jhalawar as Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Airstrip.
