Anrich Nortje once again struck timber for Delhi Capitals (DC) during his side's IPL 2020 clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday (October 24).
The South African pacer's change of pace helped DC get rid of Rahul Tripathi early on during the first innings.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and welcomed Eoin Morgan's Kolkata Knight Riders to bat first at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium at Abu Dhabi.
Batting first, KKR got off to a terrible start as Shubman Gill departed after scoring just 9 runs as Nortje found an early breakthrough for DC.
With the score 11/1, Rahul Tripathi walked in and joined Nitish Rana in the middle.
However, the partnership lasted for just 24 runs before Anrich came in and cleaned up Tripathi's stumps.
The DC pacer's 148.3 kmph delivery demolished Rahul's stumps, reducing KKR to 35-2.
