After the end of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Indian side will be seen facing off Australia in their series Down Under. Few players from the two sides were stuck in a bi-secure bubble for around two months and shared the dressing room making sure to take their franchise towards victory.

One such being Indian skipper Virat Kohli's Aussie nemesis Adam Zampa, who was taken into to side after Kane Richardson had to leave the tournament.

The two players shared the same in the UAE while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Talking about his experience with Kohli, Zampa said that he has found a different angle about the captain's demeanour.

The leg spinner feels that while Kohli is a competitive, intimidating and antagonist on the field, he is quite different off the field - humble, generous and accommodating.

“He’s a different person off the field. You see his aggression and how competitive he is on the field, he’s one of the most chilled out guys off the field. You always play against him, you get to know what he’s like on the field and then being able to spend time away from the cricket field with guys like that, you see how human they are,” Zampa said on The Unplayable Podcast for Cricket Australia.

Zampa has troubled Kohli numerous times while playing against him. He dismissed the Delhi cricketer 7 out of their 21 outings against him. However, while playing with him, Zampa said that Kohli made him laugh with his silly jokes till his cheeks became sore.

“He’s the kind of guy (that) as soon as he walks across that line, he’s a competitive beast. I saw it first hand playing with him, there are two different versions of him and that’s the weight of expectation he has on himself to perform for India. But when he’s off the field he’s a lovely guy and very chilled out. He’d had enough of me by the end of it trying to make him laugh until his cheeks were sore,” the Aussie leggie concluded.
