Mumbai Indians will square off against Delhi Capitals in the final of IPL 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This game will be special for Rohit Sharma and the Mumbai Indians as they aim to snap their 'odd' streak of winning the title and win their fifth IPL title on an 'even' year. However, the final will be special for Rohit Sharma and he is all set to create more records as he steps out onto the field. The game against Delhi Capitals will be Rohit Sharma's 200th IPL game and he will be the second player in the history of the tournament after Chennai Super Kings' MS Dhoni to achieve this landmark in the tournament.
The match will be a statistical milestone for Rohit Sharma when he steps out to bat. Rohit Sharma needs only eight runs to go past 4000 runs in the IPL for Mumbai Indians. Incidentally, Rohit Sharma requires just 43 runs to reach 3000 runs as skipper of the Mumbai Indians team, whom he has led to four IPL titles. Overall, Rohit Sharma has 5162 runs but 1171 runs have come while batting for Deccan Chargers in the very beginning of IPL.
Rohit Sharma also needs just 94 runs to become the second Indian player after Virat Kohli to reach 9000 runs in Twenty20 format. However, the Mumbai Indians skipper has a poor record in IPL playoffs, managing an average of just over 20 and not having scored some big runs.

A win for Mumbai Indians will make them the first side in the history of the tournament to win five titles and they will have a clear lead over all the other teams. The win will snap Mumbai Indians' 'odd' streak of winning the title in odd-number years. Mumbai Indians won the title first in 2013 and have since won the IPL trophy in 2015, 2017 and 2019. They even won the Champions League T20 tournaments in 2011 and 2013.
Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, will be aiming to create history and win the tournament for the first time having qualified for the finals for the first-time ever. They have won only two playoff games in history and this makes them underdogs heading into the final.
