In the opening of IPL 2020 between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), veteran legspinner Piyush Chawla was the one who bagged the breakthrough wicket, sending MI captain Rohit Sharma back to the pavilion, in the 5th over.

The legspinner claimed Rohit Sharma’s wicket on the 4th delivery of his spell and completed his 4-overs while conceding only 21 runs.

While the wicket was celebrated by all, the spinner has proved to be a danger for MI be it any team he has played for.

Chawla - who was signed for a whopping 6.75 crores at the IPL 2020 auction - earlier played for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and for both the teams - it was an MI batsman who was his first victim.

The bowler took to his Instagram to share the news as he wrote, "what an amazing coincidence!!"
