Sunrisers Hyderabad square off in an all-important clash against Chennai Super Kings at the Dubai International Cricket stadium on Tuesday with plenty at stake in the race for the IPL 2020 playoffs. With the tournament having reached the half-way stage, Sunrisers Hyderabad are currently in fifth spot in the points table with six points from seven games while Chennai Super Kings are in seventh spot with just four points from seven games. Chennai Super Kings desperately need a win and victory in Dubai today would make the race even more interesting.

In the last encounter between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings at the same venue, David Warner’s side managed to hold on for a narrow win. The match also witnessed MS Dhoni getting tired due to the stifling heat and humidity and one will be hoping that the Chennai Super Kings skipper is on top of his game on Tuesday. Chennai Super Kings’ campaign is looking similar to IPL 2010 in which they lost five out of their first seven games only to bounce back and win their next five out of seven games. MS Dhoni will be hoping that history is repeated.

Weather conditions

The weather in Dubai today has a maximum of 36 degrees and a minimum of 26 degrees. However, with a low humidity of 31 percent, dew might not play much of a factor in the game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings.

Pitch report

The pitch is sluggish and is often two paced at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The wicket will have assistance for the pacers and then spinners will come into play in the second half of the match.
