IPL 2020: SRH's David Warner-Wriddhiman Saha end KKR's Playoff dream, to face RCB in eliminator

The Mumbai Indians (MI) lose by 10 wickets as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) become the fourth team to enter Playoffs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. Jumping to the third spot, SRH will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the eliminator on November 6 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The 10-wicket win over MI has also ended Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) dream to enter the Playoffs.

Mumbai Indians (MI), meanwhile, will face Delhi Capitals (DC) in Qualifier 1 on November 5 at the Dubai International Stadium. The winners of the MI-DC match will qualify for the final which is set to take place on November 10 at the Dubai International Stadium.

The losers on the other hand will face the winners of the Eliminator between SRH and RCB on November 8 in Abu Dhabi. The second finalists will be the winners of Qualifier 2.

As for the clash, put in to bat first by SRH, MI were restricted to 149/8 wickets in 20 overs. Kieron Pollard's late charge gave the table-toppers a boost after Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma and Shahbaz Nadeem stifled them for runs in the middle overs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

MI scored 51 runs in the last five overs, most of them courtesy Pollard who scored 41 in 25 balls. He hit two fours and four sixes in his innings before falling to his West Indies teammate Jason Holder.

Holder put up yet another influential performance with the ball for SRH in the middle overs, dismissing Nathan Coulter-Nile as well and conceding just 25 runs in his four overs.

MI captain Rohit Sharma's comeback didn't last long at the crease. He faced seven balls and scored just four runs before falling to pacer Sandeep. The bowler went on to dismiss Sharma's opening partner Quinton de Kock and the in-form Ishan Kishan.

Coming in to chase, David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha did not give the MI ballers any chance as they went on guide SRH towards victory. the two even scored their respective half-centuries.
