IPL 2020 Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals Final – Head-to-Head and past records

Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals clash for the fourth and also the last time in IPL 2020 as they face each other in the Final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Mumbai Indians have won all their matches against Delhi Capitals in the league stage as well as in the Qualifier 1 by a convincing margin. While Mumbai Indians are the four-time IPL champions, this is Delhi's maiden appearance in the final in the 13 years of IPL history.

A completely one-sided match at Dubai where MI thrashed DC with an all-round performance to storm into the final for the sixth time. DC could not hold the smashing batting unit of MI as they posted 200/5 in 20 overs. DC's opening batsmen - Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan - all three departed for golden ducks without a score on the board. Marcus Stoinis stood tall and smashed as many as he could. However, the batsmen could not withstand Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah.

A clinical performance yet again from Mumbai Indians as they decimated Delhi Capitals in grand style. Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult managed to take three wickets apiece as Delhi Capitals managed just 110/9. In response, Mumbai Indians won the match inside 15 overs to dent their Net Run Rate as Ishan Kishan hit fifty to give Mumbai Indians a massive win to top the IPL 2020 table.

Shikhar Dhawan showed his class with a magnificent 69 and Shreyas Iyer chipped in with 42 as Delhi Capitals reached 162/4. However, brilliant fifties from Suryakumar Yadav and Quinton de Kock helped Mumbai Indians to a convincing win as they surged to the top of the table.
