The IPL 2020 has very few league games left but the race for the playoffs is intensifying with every match. Six teams are still in the fray for the remaining three playoff spots. This week will see the final double-headers of this edition and a clearer picture of the playoffs will be evident after the end on Sunday. Delhi Capitals, who have suffered a sudden loss in momentum by losing three consecutive games, will square off against Mumbai Indians who have already booked their spot in the playoffs. In the last encounter between the two sides in October, Mumbai Indians got the better of Delhi Capitals by five wickets but heading into this match, there are question marks over Rohit Sharma’s fitness.

For Delhi Capitals, a win against Mumbai Indians will all but seal their spot in the playoffs. If they lose this game as well as their last league encounter against Royal Challengers Bangalore, then they could be heading towards elimination in the most dramatic circumstances after being on top of the table for majority of the tournament. A loss for Delhi Capitals, combined with victories for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab could blow their playoff chances away.
