Virat Kohli’s two dropped catches off KL Rahul during the IPL 2020 clash between Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore sparked a meme fest on Twitter.
Virat Kohli had a horrible day with both bat and ball in the IPL 2020 clash between Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai. Kohli dropped two catches off KL Rahul on 83 and 89 and the Kings XI Punjab skipper blasted 46 runs in nine balls in the final two overs to end on 132, the highest individual score by an Indian player in the history of the IPL. Kohli’s miserable day ended when he was dismissed for 1 by Sheldon Cottrell as Kings XI Punjab thrashed Royal Challengers Bangalore by 97 runs.
The dropped catches from Virat Kohli sparked a meme fest on Twitter, with some trolling the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper relentlessly.

After the match, Kohli took full responsibility of the defeat and said that it was a bad day. “We know exactly where we went wrong and I have to put my hand up and say a couple of important chances went down. There are days when these kind of things happen on the cricket field, they happen and we have to accept them,” Kohli said.

Rahul, on the other hand, credited Glenn Maxwell for giving him confidence while batting. “I have actually been not so confident. I had a chat with Maxi yesterday, he said how are you feeling, I said that I am not feeling completely in control of my batting, he said you must be joking, you are hitting really well. Quite honestly I was nervous but I knew if I spend time in the middle, hit a few balls from the middle of bat, it will all settle down,” Maxwell said.
