This individual has had hauls of 3/14, 3/17 and 4/14 in his last three games for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. It is no wonder that he is the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2020 with 27 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah has once again shown his class and pedigree as he now has the highest number of wickets in a season by an Indian pacer, breaking the previous mark of 26 set by Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar in IPL 2017. Bumrah’s talent and his ability to produce devastating spells at crucial times has seen him cement his reputation as one of the best bowlers in the world currently.

This thought has been echoed by former England skipper Michael Vaughan who called Jasprit Bumrah the best in the world without any hesitation. “10 for 45 in his last three games, I mean you don’t see that in T20 cricket. I don’t think anyone would argue that Jasprit Bumrah is the best seam bowler in the world currently. He waits and waits and waits and delivers that big ball right at the last moment. The ball that got Stonis was too quick, it was through him before he knew it,” Vaughan said in a video interview with Cricbuzz.

New Zealanders hail Bumrah

A pair of New Zealand bowlers have hailed Jasprit Bumrah over his outrageous talent. Mumbai Indians bowling coach and former New Zealand pacer Shane Bond has said it is a privilege to watch Bumrah bowl. However, his opening new ball partner Trent Boult, who himself has taken 22 wickets in IPL 2020 has said he has got outrageous skills.

“It's probably one of the best things about being on this stage is meeting other fast bowers from around the world. Seeing how they operate. Jasprit is a phenomenal bowler. He is obviously experienced. He has played all around the world and he is very clear with what he is trying to do. He has a got a crazy upbringing. Playing a lot of tennis-ball ball cricket, I am not too familiar with how you play it but yeah, he has got some amazing skills,” Boult said in a video posted by the Mumbai Indians on their official website.

Mumbai Indians will await the winner of the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals in the final which will be played on Tuesday.
