As the battle in Uttar Pradesh heats up with just the last two phase of polls remaining, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be extensively campaigning around his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi.
On Wednesday, PM Modi will be addressing two public rallies, one in Maharajganj at 1 PM and the other one at Deoria later in the day.
On Monday, he had dared Samajwadi party (SP), Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to do whatever they could to defeat Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). Addressing a rally in Mau, Modi said, "Do whatever possible to defeat BJP, but don't ruin the future of Uttar Pradesh."
Terming the SP-Congress alliance a sinking ship, Modi asked people to punish Congress, SP and BSP for neglecting the state for years. "Our alliance partners will be made part of BJP government in UP when our party comes to power," he said.
The Prime Minister also claimed that Nehru had set up a committee for eastern UP's development but the report kept lying for 50 years and we have started work on it.
