The famous, centuries-old fishing festival celebrated at Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu on July 04. Flouting the COVID SOPs, hundreds of people from four villages gathered in large numbers to celebrate the annual festival. With no mask, no social distancing, they were seen celebrating the festival. The fish that are caught during the festival are cooked and offered to the deity for better harvest and health. Tamil Nadu reported 3,867 new COVID cases with 72 deaths in the last 24 hours.
