Veteran music composer Khayyam Saheb accorded full state honours

Veteran music composer Khayyam Saheb was buried with full state honours in Mumbai. The 92-year-old music director gave the Indian Cinema, a host of timeless compositions in films such as Razia Sultan and Umrao Jaan. Khayyam Saheb died on August 19 due to prolonged illness. Lyricist Gulzar, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, actor Poonam Dhillon and singer Sonu Nigam were among the first ones to arrive at his residence. Khayyam Saheb was also a Padma Bhushan recipient.
