Varanasi Devotees take holy dip in river Ganga on Nirjala Ekadashi

Devotees celebrated 'Nirjala Ekadashi' in UP's Varanasi on Thursday. They took a holy dip in river Ganga on the occasion. As per Hindu Puranas, it is considered to be the most austere & the most sacred of all 24 Ekadashis. It derived its name from the 'water-less' (Nir-jala) fast observed on this day.
