Ahead of Raksha Bandhan, a school in Vadodara has collected over 30,000 ‘rakhis’ to be sent to soldiers deployed in the border areas. Raksha Bandhan festival celebrates a brother and a sister's bond. “This year we have made more than 30,000 rakhis. Every year we send these rakhis to soldiers deployed in Siachen, Kargil, Galwan. This year we will also distribute to personnel deployed in China border area.”
