Tibetan Buddhist monks organise prayers for world peace

Tibetan Buddhists in Shimla organised prayers for world peace, to dispel the evils of the previous year, and bring good luck for the coming year. Tibetans-in-exile organise the annual prayers in the final month according to the Tibetan lunar calendar. The festival is called Gutor in Tibetan Buddhism. Buddhists monks offered prayers and performed dances. After the prayers and Lama dance, the monks threw objects signifying bad omen into the fire.
