This Mangaluru temple is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi

The port city Mangaluru, is known for its unique tradition of worshipping a statue of Mahatma Gandhi, at Shree Brahma Baidarkala Garadi Kshetra or popularly known as Garodi. Gandhi statue was consecrated at Garodi in 1948, by the then temple administrators Narsappa Salian and Somappa Pandit. A devotee, Prakash Garodi told ANI, “People who came here worship and follow Gandhian ideals in life.”
