The Taj Mahal and other centrally protected monuments reopened on June 16. These monuments were closed two months ago in the wake of COVID-19 second wave. The visitors are able to entry tickets online and no offline booking facility available. Tourist on June 16 flocked to the Taj Mahal after the decision. Strict COVID-protocols will be followed. A restriction of only 650 people at a time has also been imposed by the Agra District Magistrate Prabhu N Singh. “It’s a sign of love. I came here first time after marriage with my wife. We are feeling good,” a visitor said. “Taj Mahal has opened and visitors will come and it will help us in earning,” a shopkeeper said. The Taj Mahal was closed on April 16 following surge in COVID -19 cases.
