Outer district of Delhi Police under the operation named “Eagle Eye” have busted a nexus between auto lifters, middlemen and snatchers as the auto lifters used to provide the stolen bikes and scooters to middlemen who further used to provide the stolen vehicles to snatchers and robbers involving commision. The police team found two vehicles lying unattended in Mangol Puri Industrial area Phase-1. On suspicion, both vehicles were verified and found to be stolen from the area of Tilak Nagar and South Rohini respectively. The staff shared this information with senior officers who immediately constituted a squad of dedicated staff. A trap was laid down by the team members in plain clothes around the stolen motorcycles. After sometime, 4 suspects including two persons who were on scooty came near motorcycles and tried to take away the stolen motorcycles. Police quickly swung into action and arrested the four accused. During the interrogation, 10 more criminals involved in such activities were arrested by the police. After questioning, 116 stolen vehicles have been recovered by the police team.
