A surrendered Naxal commander created awareness among tribals on the occasion of World Environment Day in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma District. Arjun was a wanted in connection with different Naxal-related activities. He was seen dancing with tribals in Dornapal area of Sukma District on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 05. He killed around 31 police personnel and surrendered before police in Sukma on March 8. Arjun was carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh on his head. He was in-charge of South Bastar division, which is a cultural wing of the Maoists. In 2001, he was appointed as the member of the banned CPI (Maoist). Arjun’s wife has also surrendered in Dantewada, few months ago.
