Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said, “Section 144 has been tightened for 3-4 days in the state before my visit.” Ghulam Nabi Azad will visit Srinagar today (September 20). He will visit Baramulla and other districts in the next two days. Supreme Court on September 16 allowed him to visit Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Jammu with conditions. In his petition before the top court, he had also sought permission to check on social conditions of the people after a clampdown was imposed by the authorities following the scrapping of the state's special status.
