SDMC sprinkles water at Delhi Gate to control air pollution

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) sprinkled water on roads near Delhi Gate area of the national capital on November 03. The step is taken to settle the dust as a pollution control measure. The AQI in Delhi has gone worst after Diwali festival. On November 01, the Supreme Court-mandated Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) declared a public health emergency in Delhi due to rising air pollution levels. To curb air pollution, the Arvind Kejriwal led government in Delhi has announced the implementation of the odd-even scheme from November 04-15.
