While the Centre and Punjab government lock horns over vaccination policy , rural areas of the state seem to suffer an acute shortage of vaccines. Ludhiana district has run out of vaccines that are to be given to 18-44 year age group. 'Covishield and Covaxin are available for 45+ age group, we are prioritizing 2nd dose of Covaxin whereas allotting 1st and 2nd dose of Covishield,' said the district vaccination officer of Ludhiana.
