In a bid to improve patrolling, segways have been introduced at Visakhapatnam railway station. Self-balancing transporter is expected to help the force in controlling the crowd efficiently. RPF personnel can cruise up to the speed of 8-10 km/hr on the latest segways. “It is useful equipment and we have been issued two segways at Visakhapatnam railway station, it has increased the staff visibility,” said RPF Constable Rupali Rani.
