Media legend Ramoji Rao dies at 87, PM Modi expresses condolences. Ramoji Rao died in Hyderabad on June 8, He is the founder of Eenadu and Ramoji Film City. He breathed his last at 3.45 am while undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Reportedly, He was rushed to the hospital in Hyderabad on June 5th after experiencing high BP and difficulty in breathing. Ramoji Rao, born on November 16, 1936, was a businessman, media entrepreneur, and film producer. In 2016, he was honored with the Padma Vibhushan for his contributions in journalism, literature, and education. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled his death and said that the passing away of Ramoji Rao is "extremely saddening"
