Rajkot Traffic police came up with a unique idea to create awareness about traffic rules. They deployed two police officers dressed up as Lord Ganesha to spread awareness. They also offered "modak" to the people, who were riding their two-wheelers wearing the helmets. Higher penalties for traffic violations came into effect from September 01 after the implementation of provisions of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019.
