Portals of temples were closed in Patna for 'darshan' on solar eclipse. 'Darshan' of goddesses and gods is not considered auspicious during solar eclipse. Parts of India witnessed solar eclipse on December 26. Planetariums were also prepped up to give people glimpse of the eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs, when the moon comes in between the earth and the sun and when all the three bodies are aligned.
