Police arrests 38 Sri Lankans for illegally staying in Mangaluru

Mangaluru Police arrested 38 Sri Lankans who were staying in the city illegally. They reached Tamil Nadu in mid-March, then Bengaluru and then they came to Mangaluru. They could be part of human trafficking. "They said they reached Tamil Nadu in mid-March, then Bengaluru and then they came to Mangaluru. We've also arrested 6-7 people who were helping them. Cases under the IPC, Foreigners Act and Rules and Passport Act were registered against them in the South Police Station," said Police Commissioner Shashi Kumar.
