The Supreme Court allowed the disqualified rebel MLAs of Karnataka to contest in the upcoming by-polls on December 05. Speaking on it, former chief minister of Karnataka and Congress leader, Siddaramaiah said that if you look it as a morality point of view they (rebel MLAs) are not eligible to contest the election. He further said, “If anybody cross over to any political party, it will be disqualified and this is the order of the Supreme Court.”On being asked about the fact that these MLAs can contest elections again, Siddaramaiah said, “He can contest by-elections and that is different thing but ultimately, the ‘people court’ will punish him.”On being asked about if JD(S) is willing to support BJP, Siddaramaiah said, “I don’t know why they are making such statements.”
