People protest against superstitious beliefs during solar eclipse in Bengaluru

A group of people protested at Bengaluru's Town Hall on December 26 against the superstitious beliefs followed during solar eclipses. Activist N Murthy said, "Superstitions like don't go outside, don't eat or drink during the eclipse are wrong. Scientists only say don't view it with naked eye." People across the world witnessed the last solar eclipse of 2019. A solar eclipse occurs, when the moon comes in between the earth and the sun and when all the three bodies are aligned.
