People in Patna hit road to support CAA

An organisation called ‘Bharat Bachao Morcha’ hit the road in Bihar’s Patna to counter ongoing protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC. Security was also beefed up across the rally. Speaking to ANI, a protester said, “The bill does no harm to the citizens of India.” President Ram Nath Kovind gave his assent to the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) on December 13 which sought to give Indian citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants who faced persecution in three neighbouring countries – Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
