Sumaila, a Pakistani national and Kamal Kalyan, a resident of Jalandhar who got engaged online in 2018 requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi's help in getting visas for their wedding. The marriage was postponed due to lockdown. Resident of Jalandhar, Kamal Kalyan, said, “I appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to grant a visa to Sumaila so she can come to India and we can get married. We are doing all the efforts. I had completed all the papers on March 21 but the process got stalled due to corona lockdown.”
