While speaking to media on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's statement that his state has no place for NRC, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, "Jagan Mohan Reddy is my friend and he will remain to be my friend but he is running a state. There are various circumstances under which you have to run a state and it is not easy to do the same." "I would like to request him that before NRC, it is National Population Register (NPR) and he should focus on that as well. It is his decision which is good," he added. "Keeping aside all our friendship, we need to understand the policy decision when a person is running a state," Owaisi further stated.
