As the Triple Talaq is being discussed in the Lok Sabha, Samajwadi Party MP ST Hasan, while opposing the bill, said the government should not interfere in the internal matter of any religion. Hasan added that a small section in the Muslim community, who are the followers of Abu Hanifa, practice Triple Talaq, and that the decision should be left with the girl and her parents. Hasan also said that if such interferences continue, then the next number could be of mosques and Madarsas.
