Situation in North-East district of Delhi was in control on morning of February 26. Heavy deployment of security forces was witnessed in affected areas. The region saw brutal violence since February 23, claiming 17 lives. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation informed that entry and exit gates at all metro stations have been opened. Violence erupted in North-East Delhi after clashes broke out between anti-CAA and pro CAA groups. Several shops have been set ablaze and cases of stone-pelting and arson have been witnessed. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on late Tuesday night visited the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police in Delhi’s Seelampur to take stock of the situation.
