Necessary steps have been taken to prevent Nipah virus in Puducherry Dr KV Raman

While speaking to ANI on Nipah virus, Director of Department of Health and Family Welfare Service in Puducherry, Dr KV Raman said, "There was a lone case of Nipah in Ernakulam, Kerala. So, we are involved in Kerala because one region of Puducherry is in Kerala-Mahe. Necessary steps have been taken to prevent Nipah." "We are asking people to come to hospitals as soon as they experience fever, especially when a patient is delirious or have mental disorientation with a high fever. Doctors are being trained to detect patients with brain fever, cough and those who have visited Ernakulam and four districts around it," he added.
