A National Conference delegation, led by former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah requested Prime Minister to hold assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir by the year end. “It has been 1.5 years since a popular elected government (NDA) has governed Jammu and Kashmir. We want that an election to be held in the state before the year ends. People will be given a chance to make a decision. We will accept the mandate, whatever it may be,” says former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah in a press conference.
