Amid water shortage, the women in Nashik were seen descending into the well to fetch water for their basic needs. While speaking to ANI, a villager informed that many women have fallen into the well as well. “We have to travel 2 km to fetch water from the well by getting inside it as our village doesn't have water facilities. At times, some women fall into the well,” one of the villagers said. While speaking to ANI, Alka Ahirrao, the Superintendent Engineer of the Irrigation Department, said, “Water situation in Nashik is better than last year. Till next June, there won't be any water shortage.”
