MP’s Animal Husbandry Dept focuses on cattle breeding

Animal Husbandry Department has compiled a database called ‘Sire’ directory of 16 breeds of bulls at Central Semen Station in Bhopal. The directory includes details such as bulls’ family history, disease status and milk production capacity of their mother. Speaking to ANI, Manager at Central Semen Station, “Female animal is not allowed here. Bulls are trained to donate semen artificially. After semen's quality is determined, it's frozen and stored. Directory can be called matrimonial record; it's available on our website too. Farmers can order online.”
