Mission Successful! NASA confirms DART mission succeeded in shifting asteroid’s orbit

US space agency NASA confirmed that its recent attempt to alter the path of an asteroid happened successfully. The fridge-sized DART impactor deliberately smashed into the moonlet asteroid Dimorphos on September 26, pushing it into a smaller, faster orbit around its big brother Didymos.
